*The Community Calendar is a free community service. 104.9 the River does not guarantee your submission will be placed on the Community Calendar even after it is reviewed. In the event your submission is selected for the Community Calendar it may take up to 2 weeks before it is posted.

The nation's top archaeological scholars will present on Ohio's first inhabitants and how the remnants they left behind helped create the field of archaeology. From the mounds of the Hopewell and Adena people to recent excavations, this year's symposium has topics of interest for everyone. In addition to the presentations, genuine pieces of Ohio history will be on display so those attending the symposium can experience Ohio's past first-hand.
